Square face shape

Forehead, cheekbones and jaw of a similar width, with a strong, angular jaw.

A face with character and firm lines. Curves soften it and fine profiles make it lighter.

Frames: Round or oval frames with a fine profile; cat-eye frames soften with a touch of lift.
Hair: Waves, layers around the face and a side fringe soften the angles.
Near the face: Hoops and rounded earrings; round or boat necklines.

Shadow: Shadow on the corners of the forehead and the angles of the jaw: it softens the lines.

Light: Light in the centre of the forehead, under the eyes, on the bridge of the nose and on the chin.

Always blend: contouring is light and shadow, never lines. Choose a matte shade one or two tones deeper than your skin.
