Beauty

Your skin changes. So does the way you care for it.

Carolina Collaer · 05/02/2026

I’m not a dermatologist: my place is beauty through image and care. Beauty is not about correcting yourself. It’s recognising, caring and knowing how to choose, wherever it comes from.

I’m not a dermatologist. Nor do I want to become an ingredients expert or tell you what your skin needs.

My place in this conversation is another one.

I’m interested in beauty through image, through care and, above all, through the way a woman feels and presents herself to the world.

For years we have associated beauty with correcting.

Correcting a wrinkle.

A spot.

A texture.

A dark circle.

A sign of time.

And the more our face changes, the more products seem to want to convince us that there is something to fix.

I’m interested in another view.

Beauty can also be learning to accompany our evolution.

Personally, moreover, I can’t try just any product. I have particularly reactive skin, and that has forced me to be cautious, to observe more and to consume differently.

Perhaps that is why I’m wary of endless routines, of universal recommendations and of that constant need to try “the latest thing”.

There are many women who experience something similar.

Women who react easily to certain cosmetics. Who prefer to introduce a product little by little. Who need to ask. To read. To try. And, sometimes, simply to say: this is not for me.

They too have a place in the conversation about beauty.

CARO wants to make space for that woman.

Not from fear, but from choice.

Because caring for yourself should not mean using everything that exists.

It can mean knowing what works for you and respecting what does not.

And this is where, for me, beauty and image begin to meet.

A good image does not depend on clothes alone.

It is skin that feels comfortable.

Hair you recognise as your own.

Make-up that accompanies without disguising.

A perfume that leaves a presence.

Glasses that transform a face.

A colour that lights you up.

A way of caring for yourself that fits your life.

Beauty is not a department separate from style.

It is part of our presence.

That is why at CARO there will be skincare, but we will also talk about make-up, hair, perfumes, gestures, colour, care and all those small decisions that build an image.

And yes, we may discover Korean, French, Spanish or products from anywhere else.

Origin will not be the criterion.

The criterion will be whether it deserves to be here.

I don’t want to recommend for the sake of recommending.

I want to try when possible, to ask when I don’t know, and to say so too when something doesn’t convince me.

Because I don’t need to present myself as an expert to have a point of view.

And I don’t want CARO to be a place where everything works for everyone.

We are different.

Our skin changes. Our face changes. Our body changes. Even what we consider beautiful changes.

Perhaps true sophistication lies precisely there:

in ceasing to chase an earlier version of ourselves and starting to care, with attention, for the one in front of us.

Beauty is not about correcting yourself.

It is about recognising yourself, caring for yourself and knowing how to choose.
